SOCIAL MEDIA PITCH 2025

GAYLETTER is a biannual print magazine and weekly email newsletter focusing on queer culture and nightlife in New York City. Founded in 2008 by Tom Jackson and Abi Benitez, it initially served as a guide to alternative gay events before expanding to cover art, fashion, music, and literature.


The Strategy 


Papi Diva’s Social Media pitch for GAYLETTER 2025 focused on honoring minimal typography and maximizing visuals within all social media channel real-estate. The strategy concluded by solidifying Gayletter’s social channels and creating a formula and key terms to design for our audience through the refinement of intentional visuals and jaw-dropping headlines.

I do not own any of the photographs/artwork seen on this pitch deck. All the media was collected to envision the creative direction and design for GAYLETTER's social media.

The Hausim is a competitive Ballroom Fund awarding inner-city artists and dancers financial grants for their artistic development in Vogue/Ballroom competitions, event organization, and mentorship. Founded by Myles and Iris Telfar, from the Haus of Telfar, they're on a mission to advance the underground Ballroom culture by supporting creative artists at their core.

The logo mark was inspirated by various logos, but took leading inspiration from Fotografiska. The logo is using both the star and arrow to capture expression and the direction of energy. 

What is a dip?

“In ballroom vogue, a dip is a dramatic, controlled drop onto the floor, often following a spin or other movement.“

Freelance Projects for MRM / McCann New York

January 2024 – July 2024, I was a freelance Graphic Designer at McCann where I collaborated amongst mulitple departments and designers to create quality ad spots for Finish Dish Detergent, Best Friends, and Lysol’s social media. 

• Designed 30+ paid social media ads for multiple social media apps for Lysol and Finish Dish Detergent

• Sourced and edited stock 20-30 images weekly to align with client’s brand guidelines and aesthetics

• Collaborated across multiple departments to prepare files and pitch decks for client presentations and file pass-off
